Product Information

200g vinyl housed in a gatefold sleeve.

The raw Rhythm & Blues sound of The Betterdays has remained etched clearly in the memory of thousands of enthusiastic fans that heard them live, back in the early sixties.

Playing all around the West Country to packed houses every night and very much in the vanguard of the exciting new sound that was taking the whole country by storm, The Betterdays were a sensation. Sadly they were all but overlooked by the London-centric music business of the day and their time in the limelight was cut short before they had the opportunity to gain the fame that their contemporaries such as the Stones and the Animals enjoyed.

Many people yearn to re-live the electric atmosphere of those heady days and, sensationally, they now can – twenty seven tracks were recorded by the band in the 90s, but not released to the public… but here they are after all those years.

What might have been, now is!

The Betterdays are back with a lash with an album of fresh recordings from the 90s, all newly mastered.

The album is a unique insight into the vitality and joy of that heady time, but benefits from terrific recording quality.
